From a small family kitchen on Niagara Street to Buffalo's most beloved marcos pizza destination — we've been handcrafting every pie with passion, fresh ingredients, and a whole lot of heart for over three decades.

The marcos Story — Handcrafted with Heart

In 1992, Marco Rossi — a first-generation Italian-American with a grandmother's recipe and a dream — opened a tiny pizzeria on Niagara Street in Buffalo, NY. With just a single wood-fired oven and an unshakeable belief in quality, he began making marco's pizza the way it was meant to be made: slow-fermented dough, hand-crushed San Marzano tomatoes, and the freshest local toppings Buffalo had to offer.

Word spread fast. Neighbors lined up around the block. By 1997, the original single oven became four, the dining room expanded, and Marcos had earned its place as a cornerstone of the Buffalo food community. Today, marcos pizza is still made by the same family, with the same standards, in the same neighborhood.

We don't cut corners on ingredients, we don't rush our dough, and we never stop trying to make each pie better than the last. That's the Marcos promise — passed down through three decades and still going strong.

1992

The Beginning

Marco Rossi opens the first Marcos location at 1085 Niagara St, Buffalo with one oven and his grandmother's recipe.

1997

First Expansion

Overwhelming demand leads to a full kitchen renovation — four new ovens installed and the dining room doubled in size to seat 80 guests.

2003

Best Pizza Award

Marcos wins the Buffalo News "Best Pizza in WNY" award for the first time — a distinction we've retained 14 times since.

2010

Online Ordering Launched

Marcos embraces digital — launching Buffalo's first restaurant online ordering system, bringing marcos pizza directly to your door.

2016

New Generation

Marco's son, Luca Rossi, joins as Head Chef — infusing new creativity while fiercely protecting the original recipes that made Marcos famous.

2024

1 Million Pizzas

Marcos celebrates its one-millionth pizza served — a milestone marked with a community celebration and a week of complimentary slices for loyal customers.
